School Trips Abroad 2024-2025
Expeditions and school trips present challenges during which students discover their strengths outside the classroom and come to understand the meaning of global citizenship. These compulsory trips complement and reinforce the academic programme and usually involve an element of environmental or humanitarian aid.
For 2024-2025, we have an impressive line up of trips taking us to four continents.
Parents will be contacted about availability of places in the coming weeks. Please note: some trips are part of the curriculum and are therefore compulsory.

Past Trips:
Tanzania: Conservation and Humanitarian Aid DP1
This ten-day trip for our older students taught them the importance of international aid in developing nations. Students lived close to nature, and spent several days working on humanitarian projects such as building a goat shelter and a school, and helping install solar lighting in a village. Students then went on safari with experienced guides, where they were able to see at close quarters some of Africa’s stunning wild animals, and learn about what is being done to preserve their natural habitats.
Costa Rica: Biodiversity & Sustainability MYP5 - MYP4
Students had a once in a lifetime opportunity to experience Costa Rica’s biodiversity. Sitting on the land bridge between North and South America, flora and fauna from both continents have mixed and unique ecosystems have developed. The emphasis was on sustainability to protect the incredible natural environment.
The Azores: Islands, Sea and Culture MYP 2 & MYP 3
This breathtaking archipelago in the Atlantic Ocean gave students a fabulous opportunity to get close to marine life and experience the geological phenomena of these volcanic islands, including hot springs and caves. Students spent time with marine biologists and went whale-watching.
France: MYP1 / Years 5 & 6
Children spent five days in the beautiful Loire region of western France. The theme was exploration, nature and adventure and was the perfect introduction to being on tour for this younger age group. They stayed at the historical park of Puy du Fou and had day excursions including to Futuroscope.
