WELCOME FROM THE MÉAN FAMILY

The Méan Familly would be delighted to welcome you to La Garenne to discover our outstanding location and the warm family atmosphere that pervades the school.

Our priority is that each child at La Garenne should be happy, safe, healthy, valued and cherished. With 70 years of experience, we have built a team committed to holistic education. La Garenne upholds the Swiss values of respect with emphasis on politeness, tolerance, responsibility, punctuality, honesty and the benefits of being well organised.

By offering experiences to build resilience, we prepare the children for successful and balanced lives in the future. Our global school trips and expedition programme, provide them with challenges to develop personal confidence. We have adopted the following motto: “Be Happy, Never, Never, Never, Give up” to reflect our approach to life.

With more than twenty-eight countries represented at school, the children are immersed in the richness of cultural diversity.

We value academic excellence through highly committed and passionate teachers, inquiry-based learning, state-of-the-art educational technology and small class sizes that allow the children to blossom in an optimal and creative environment. The languages spoken in school are English and French, guaranteeing that children speak these with ease and achieve excellent academic results in Cambridge and DELF exams.

Physical activity (regular sport in the curriculum, long expeditions, winter sports, clubs and free play) is important in the daily life of a child, contributing to their well-being.

Extra-curricular activities include an extensive range of stimulating options covering all the interests and aspirations of the children. After graduating from La Garenne, your child will be ready for the challenges ahead but sad to leave us.

The Méan family remains at your disposal, to support you in making the right decision for your child.
