International Baccalaureate World School

Accreditation is true evidence of quality for an academic institution and highly valued recognition of the overall standards of teaching and learning within that organisation. The International Baccalaureate Organisation (IBO) is one of the world’s most prominent international accreditation organisations.

Swiss Learning

Swiss Learning represents the most prestigious boarding schools in Switzerland. Students are immersed in a multi-cultural and diverse environment. A key requirement is the ability to demonstrate a tradition of educational excellence with years of experience in providing education and boarding facilities.

Swiss Group of International Schools (SGIS)

The Swiss Group of International Schools (SGIS) is a non-profit, membership-based organisation which aims actively to encourage and support collaboration between schools through the exchange of information and good practice. SGIS schools work together to connect young people particularly through an extensive sports programme. The programme includes snow sports, tennis, football and even ultimate frisbee.

Boarding Schools Association (BSA)

The Boarding Schools’ Association represents member boarding schools, provides training for boarding staff and promotes boarding education in 37 countries. BSA schools commit to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all the children in their care.

The Méan family is delighted to welcome you to the International Boarding School La Garenne. Our outstanding alpine location in Villars Switzerland has been welcoming boarding students, day students and their parents for over 76 years.

The school’s priority is that each student from 4 to 18 years old should be happy, safe, healthy, valued and cherished.
